Mariana Gutiérrez Reyes is an expert in the Montessori method and passionate about early childhood education. She returned to Bogota after 12 years in Madrid and London to start Mila Vanila.

She is certified by the AMI (Association Montessori International) and is passionate about advances in neuroscience in child development, positive discipline, and the effects of nature on education. She trained with Silvia Dubovoy, Ph.D., (psychiatrist and consultant for the UN on education issues) in San Diego (USA) and worked in London under the supervision of MMI (founded in 1929 by María Montessori). In the last 6 years, she has been incredibly lucky to have worked and managed Iverna Gardens Montessori, one of the best kindergartens in the UK under the direction of Felicity and Emily Marrian (MCI).
